Alexander Stripunsky, International GrandMaster
 
Alexander Stripunsky was born in 1970. Originally from Kharkov (Ukraine) he moved to United States in 1997. Alex won USCF Gran Prix in 1998, tied for first in 2005 US Championship and has won many tournaments in Europe and United States. Among them are 2007’ Millennium Chess Festival, Space Cost Open and Foxwoods Open, 2008' Continental Open and Atlantic Open.

He served as one of the trainers for historic 2004 Women Olympiad Training Squad. Currently Alex is coaching many promising young players in tri-state area and around the country. In the summer of 2009 Alexander will join ICA staff as a senior coach for ICA advanced camp.
