 Diana is the humorously dubbed "criminal mastermind" behind the ICA's inception. Always sharing an avid love for Chess, Diana was at one time Champion of the Soviet Republic of Moldova. 5 years after arriving in the United States, and a little while after moving to New Jersey Diana opened up the Teaneck Chess School ( a little on the history can be found here ) along with Irina Levitina (read farther down).
Although Diana prides herself on this, in earnest it is probably not her greatest accomplishment. This honor belongs to the upbringing and development of the ICA's most accomplished and promising student, Diana's own daughter, Hana.
