Grandmaster Tamaz Gelashvili and his son Giorgi scores a perfect eight out of eight points to win first place in the January 28th edition of the ICA family event. A perfect score has only happened once or twice before in the history of our family events. Both father and son get free entry into our next Ostfeld event on March 11th as well as a free Saturday quads ticket.
The Shlionsky family scored second place with six points on the strength of young Alexander’s perfect four points in section one. Akiva scored one point in section four and Aryeh Lieb scored two points in the open section.
The family get free entry into the next Ostfeld tournament scheduled for March 11th.
The Kazazians took third place with five and a half points. Ara scored three in section two while Shant scored two and a half in section one with Rafael scoring one and a half points.
Joining the Kazazians were the Raina family Arjun and Abhay who both played in section two and also scored five and a half points. Both families get free entry into the March 11th Ostfeld memorial tournament.
Twenty four families competed in the family competition on January 28th.
