The distance between Anna’s and Maria’s towns is 99 kilometers. Anna and Maria started driving towards each other at 10:00 am at speeds of 30km/hour (Anna) and 36km/hour (Maria).

a)  At what time will they meet?

b)  How far from Maria’s town will the 2 cars meet?

 

 

 

Level 3

Alex and Nick are walking at speeds of 3m/sec. and 4m/sec. towards Jane whose speed is 6m/sec. The distance between them is 7.2 kilometers. Alex, Nick and Jane all started walking at the same time.

a) In how much time will Jane pass by Nick?

b) In how much time will Jane pass by Alex?
