Chess Instructor & TD

ALESSANDRO

Alessandro has played chess since he was 5, and he has been teaching chess and directing tournaments since 2016. He played for the Bergen County Academies chess team while in high school and served on the executive board of the Rutgers Chess Club. He graduated from Rutgers with a degree in Computer Science in 2022.

Alessandro wants to improve chess for as many players as possible. He is passionate about teaching students how to think about chess, and, by extension, how to think about the world.

He serves on the NJSCF Board of Directors, and he edits the Atlantic Chess News, a publication distributed at the World Amateur Team tournament each year.
