| ICA Three Thriving On First Place Finish At Amateur Team East Championships! |
It’s not the most favorite tournament of the ICA student body for nothing, and it’s no coincidence that that appeal transferred to a rousing success for many ICA individuals, and of course our very own ICA Team #3.
The Team, which was comprised of ICA coach Eugene Sokolovsky, Gregory Gabovich, Timothy Hoang, and Ethan Klein claimed top honors as the best team with an average rating under 1800 points. More info |

| ICA Student Body Invades New Jersey State Grade Championships! |
As is always the case, many ICA students attended this past New Jersey State championship and as always did the school proud by notching up quite decent results in each grade section.
First up, we had Joshua Lerman, a first grader, score three points out of a total five. His losses came to the first, and second place finishers, and that was enough to earn him sixth place overall.

| Bergen Academy Buries Almost All Competition At Nationals! |
It’s no coincidence that Bergen Academy is located next to a cemetery. The mostly ICA trained Academy team also put away their arch rivals Stuyvesant on their way to finishing second overall.

| ICA ACCOMPLISHMENTS |
Ok here you will find the achievements of ICA students, or the school as a whole. Although a victory by an ICA student is primarily an individual accomplishment, we still take pride in the fact, that we motivated that student to continue going to chess (with some help from the parents of course) and helped train him/her to fully develop their chess skill. | International Chess Academy introduction |
The International Chess Academy was established in 1996 by Diana Tulman and Irina Levitina. In our first year we met only once a week and only for a couple of hours. The whole school consisted of seven (!) students and two teachers. Today we have over a hundred kids in our school and staff of 20 teachers. Among our students we have National champions and National Prize winners. More info |
